And speaking of cell phones controlling us ... oh, have you not yet heard me go off on a tangent on that!?!?

While challenging a fun group of Trial Lawyers from Kentucky, Tennessee & Mississippi a few weeks in Orlando, Florida, I became so passionate (as always) while presenting to them how there's really no such thing as time-management (because no one has yet found a way to lengthen, add to or re-arrange the 24 hours we have in each day), that I gave them an example of how intrusive most people allow cell phones to be. Eg. Have you ever had lunch with someone who's looking down at their cell phone while scrolling the screen with their thumb, then looking back up at you because you stopped talking, with a response like:

"Continue. I'm listening." "B...S... you're listening. You're addicted to your bloody cell phone." I'm afraid my "construction-industry" vocabulary caught them a bit off-guard, because my response received a chuckle. Cell phone addiction was just one topic in my presentation.
